Send the invitation as an image straight to phones and let the replies come back the same way. If you want something physical for a handful of people, print a few from the PDF and hand them over rather than posting them.
We want a bay-side afternoon. What time should the invitation say?
Later than feels natural, because the marine layer regularly holds through the morning here and into the early afternoon in early summer. Mid-afternoon start times give the cloud time to clear and still leave you the good part of the evening. Put an end time on it as well, since informal beach gatherings in PB drift, and neighbours in duplexes this close together notice. One clear window on the card sets the expectation without you having to police it.
