Pool parties are booked late and sent fast. The weather decides, somebody's pool becomes available, and the invitation goes out on a Tuesday for a Saturday. That is completely fine and it is one of the reasons a same-day collection design exists.
What a pool party invitation has to carry that others do not is a practical list: bring a towel, sunscreen, whether there is a lifeguard, whether non-swimmers are welcome, and what happens if it rains. For children's pool parties, the supervision question is the one parents most want answered before they reply.
