My guests have to come through a gate and up a long drive. How do I handle that?
Put it on the invitation in the words you would use on the phone, not as coordinates. One line naming the turning and one naming the gate handles almost every arrival, and it saves you fielding calls while you are setting up. If there is a code, that belongs on a separate day-of card or a message the morning of, never on a card sent weeks ahead. I will lay both out so they match.
We have the space for a big outdoor table. What day-of paper is actually worth making?
For a long table outdoors, place cards and one menu per few settings do more than any other paper. They stop the shuffle at the start of the meal, which on a large property matters because your guests are arriving across half an hour rather than all at once. Simple direction signs at the drive are the other genuinely useful piece. Everything beyond that is decoration, and I will tell you so.
How far ahead should I start my Granite Hills invitation?
