We have two graduations in the family the same June. Can they share a design?
They can, and it usually looks better than two unrelated cards landing in the same inboxes. I build one design and personalise it twice, so the colours and type match while the names, dates and windows differ. That way relatives invited to both see a set rather than a coincidence. A collection personalised is $65 per version, so two matched cards is a straightforward way to do it.
Ours is a drop-in open house, not a sit-down party. How should the timing read?
Give a window with both ends stated, and say the word open house plainly so nobody arrives expecting a seated meal. I would add one short line telling guests they are welcome any time inside that window, because otherwise half of them turn up at the start and the food runs out early. If food is served for part of the window only, say which part. That single sentence prevents most of the confusion an open house creates.
